For our 5th Nature Rangers, Year 1&2 enjoyed a story called, ‘Fiery Fox’ 🦊 and the children learnt about how to stay safe around a fire. We talked about the 3 important elements of lighting a fire- air, fuel and flame. Then, with help from the children lit the Kelly kettle. With adult guidance the children got to put some sticks into the Kelly Kettle. With the fire created at the bottom of the Kelly Kettle the children enjoyed some tasty s’mores and to wash down that tasty treat we used the water from the Kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate 🍫
