The children had their first Forest School lesson of the year today, where they learnt some of the rules of Forest School and the importance of ‘leave no trace’. They worked together in groups and created a self portrait using natural objects in the Outdoor Classroom. We discussed the important features we all have- 2 eyes, a nose, mouth etc and this lead into a discussion about other features such as hairstyles, eyebrows and face shape! Everyone worked so well together and during our plenary chat we discovered that we had a bramble bush with berries that we might just use for next weeks lesson! 👍🏻😊
