๐ซ๐ท๐ต๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ชYear 1/2 celebrate European Languages Week!
This week we celebrated European Languages Week! We started our week with some Irish greetings and we learnt how to say ‘hello’ and ‘how are you’ in Irish. We then blessed ourselves in Irish too! Some children even brought in interesting Irish language books for us all to look at. Then we learnt how to speak in French with help from Claude- ‘bonjour’ means ‘hello’ and ‘au revoir’ means goodbye. We also learnt our French colours and the song Frere Jaques. Then later in the week the children tasted some French pears and some Polish apples! They voted for which they most enjoyed. They had some fun trying on a French beret as well as a babushka. Great job everyone! ๐ต๐ฑ๐ซ๐ท๐ฎ๐ช
