Our school had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day, filled with exciting activities that brought the joy of reading to life! The week kicked off with our brilliant Book Fair, facilitated by the School Council. Thanks to the generosity of those who supplied and purchased books, we raised an impressive £450, which will go towards new books for each class. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed! Year 4-7 put their knowledge to the test in the Footy & Booky Quiz, combining a love for football and literature, and also took part in a BBC Live Teach Lesson, expanding their learning beyond the classroom. Meanwhile, Year 2 and 3 got active with the Core Kids NI Live Workout, promoting both physical and mental well-being, before taking part in a fun World Book Day Quiz on Newsdesk. A special moment of the day was when Year 1 and Year 7 paired up for a heartwarming ‘Share a Story’ session outdoors, fostering a love for reading across different age groups. It was a truly wonderful and memorable day, celebrating books, stories, and the joy of learning together! 📚🎉
