Today the children in Year 1 and 2 developed their skill of, ‘Working With Others’ during Welly Wednesday. In groups they were set a task, to see who could build the strongest house for a little pig to live in. As they have been reading, The Three Little Pigs, they were up for the challenge, not wanting to let the Big Bad Wolf blow down their creations! Each group worked together to decide what natural materials they should use and how best to use them. Lots of ideas and creativity! We agreed that each pig was safe in their new homes… but just in case the Big Bad Wolf might pay a visit, we decided to Leave No Trace and take our pigs back into the classroom when we were done.
