"Today's the day, the teddy bears had their picnic!"
The Year 1 children all had so much fun today, as they joined forces with their teddy bear friends in celebrating a wonderful school year. Claude was in his element, meeting all the teddy bears and sharing some stories with them about all the Year 1 boys and girls. After reading, 'We're going on a bear hunt', together, the children went on a bear hunt of their very own, finding some famous bears hidden in our Outdoor Classroom. Then it was picnic time! Although the rain started, we didn't let it dampen our spirits as we used our new Polytunnel as shelter. Thankfully, the sun peeked it's head out from behind a cloud, just in time for the Ice-Cream Van! What a lovely way to end the school year, with such a special group of Year 1 children.
