We had our 5th Year 1/2 Nature Rangers Session and what fun it was! We read the story, ‘Fiery Fox’ 🦊 and the children learnt about how to stay safe around a fire. Mrs. Dodenciu showed the children the 3 important elements of lighting a fire- air, fuel and flame. Then, with help from the children lit the Kelly kettle. They heated some water together whilst some of the rest of the children went on a Halloween Savenger hunt. Afterwards the children enjoyed some hot chocolate with tasty s’mores and listened to some songs and stories around the campfire. We put out the fire safely and made sure everything was cooled down. Then each child got a special certificate to show they could help light and distinguish a fire. We look forward to enjoying more campfire treats in future Nature Ranger sessions together. 🔥
