π±π«πππSeed Dispersal Sorting Activityπ±π«πππ
18th Nov 2022
In Forest School today we used this fun sorting activity to learn about plant germination and seed dispersal. In the classroom the children carefully cut out the seed cards, and then had to sort them into the different categories to show which are carried away by the wind, which are eaten by animals, which float away on the water, which are thrown by exploding seed pods, and which catch a lift by hooking or sticking themselves to animals' coats. We then headed out around our school grounds to identify and observe seeds, berries and leaves. The children all thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activity.
