Safer Internet Day 2023 💻 📱
The 2023 Safer Internet Day theme is: Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online.
To mark #saferinternetday our pupils in Years 6 & 7 took part in a range of lessons focused on staying safe online.
The internet has many benefits, but can be a negative place where online abuse, trolling, bullying and harassment can take place.
This week we have discussed with the children knowing when, where and how to seek support and help if they see something online that makes them worried or uncomfortable.
We also considered how everyone has a role to play in creating and maintaining a better and safer online world that can be enjoyed by all.
We discussed the rules for keeping safe online: how to recognise risks, harmful content and contact, and how to report them to stay safe.
