Is there ‘Room on the Broom?’
We read the story, ‘Room on the Broom’ and decided that for Welly Wednesday we would make our very own, ‘truly magnificent’ brooms.
The children made their way to the Outdoor Classroom where they explored the ‘wild woods’ in search of sticks strong enough to make their brooms. There were lots of sticks in all shapes and sizes- long, short, big and small. Then the children decided they needed a tail for their brooms and used the colourful autumn leaves to make that.
They worked in groups and talked about how important sharing and being kind to each other was, just like the witch from the story who shared her broom.
We went around each group and talked about how they created their brooms. The children were very happy with how they turned out and made sure each person in their group could fit on their brilliant broom creations!😃🧙
