Forest School 12.11.20
The children in Year 3 and 4 have been busy learning about the festival of Diwali in class this week. After retelling the story of Rama and Sita and discussing the importance of the symbol of light during Diwali, we decided to create some lanterns! As our trees have some beautiful leaves which have carpeted the outdoor classroom and grass, we decided to use them to decorate our lanterns. This meant collecting leaves of all shapes and colour during our Forest School lesson. The children also had fun playing with the leaves too!
After we had collected enough we then brought them back to class where they made their lanterns! Have a look at some of the photographs of the children in action.
