🙏 Congratulations to our First Communicants 2024 🙏

Congratulations to all our Year 4 pupils who made their First Holy Communion and received the Sacrament of the Eucharist on Saturday 18th May 2024. The children were terrific with their readings, prayers, responses, singing and music.
Canon McGahan was full of praise for all the children, parents and family members in attendance as he commented how it is an occasion of great joy and happiness, as parents and family members came together to mark an important stage in the children’s faith journey.

A special Thank You to Mrs. Mulligan and Mrs. McGarvey for preparing the pupils so well, to Jackie McGlinchey and Mrs. Shevlin for decorating the church and to Fr. McGahan for celebrating the sacrament. Thank you also to Nuala Sweeney, Mrs. Mullin, Mrs. Barrett and our School Choir for providing the beautiful music and singing.
Thank you to Nuala Ward for her dedication on the immaculate church and making the chapel available for all practices, and to everyone who looks after the Church. A special Thank You to our Parents’ Association for preparing the hall and serving refreshments and to Fr. McGahan for funding the food.

As a school community we are very proud of the children and we hope that they all had a lovely weekend with their families, cherishing many special memories and enjoying the fabulous weather.
