๐๐5 Little Caterpillarsโฆ๐๐๐
We have had some new arrivals to our classroom… 5 baby caterpillars! They arrived last Wednesday and within a week have grown to almost 3 times their size! Year 1 and 2 have been keeping a close eye on their ‘class pets’ as they are learning about the lifecycle of the butterfly at the moment. ๐
Last week the children created their own caterpillars using pipe cleaners and wool after looking at the various different patterns that caterpillars can have.
For Welly Wednesday this week, they gathered some natural materials outside, which they glued onto some card, in the shape of a butterfly. They had great fun making them into butterfly wands by adding a stick and they showed off to their caterpillar friends just what they would be turning into in the next few weeks! ๐ฆ
