Have you ever wondered how to draw 3-dimensional letters that look like solid structures?
Our children in Years 6 and 7 have created a beautiful display having learnt all about 3D art and design. They have developed their understanding of the visual elements of art and design (line, tone, texture, colour, pattern, shape, 3D form) through a curriculum that has enabled them to reach their full potential. Many areas of art link with mathematical ideas of shape and space; for example when printing repeating patterns and designs, and thinking about 3D shapes to support structures in three-dimensional art.
The school’s high quality art curriculum is supported through the availability of a wide range of quality resources, which are used to support children’s confidence in the use of all areas of Art and Design.
